WARNER ROBINS, Georgia(41NBC/WMGT) — Disabled veterans are having a possibility to strengthen their golfing activity.

A 6-week system at Robins Air Pressure Foundation is aiding veterans continue to be active.

Veterans like Keith Rhodes are energized to be on the golfing course.

“It gives you a possibility to get with other veterans and non-veterans,” he said. “And it will help make a camaraderie.”

Rhodes says it gives him the possibility to study from persons just like him.

“Sometimes, some of us veterans, we truly don’t, simply because of our incapacity,” he explained. “We type of keep shut up, but this way we can get out and chuckle and have entertaining.”

The clinic was fashioned in partnership with the Ga Point out Golf Association.

Myles Jones is a trainer with the affiliation and a quadriplegic who is aware of how rough it can be. That’s why he’s aiding veterans acquire techniques towards acquiring superior.

“The interaction and the fellowship is the primary matter,” Jones reported. “So having them out and off the couch and having them inspired and undertaking a little something, that is what it did for me, and we’re hoping it’ll do it for the military services if they want to participate.”

Army veterans never have to participate on their individual. Their families are welcome, much too.

Rashad Wilson, Pine Oaks Golfing Courses’ facility supervisor, suggests the golf clinic is manufactured to fit everyone’s desires.

“We have the capacity to outfit you with products and/or add-ons like the cart you see at the rear of us to make it so that you can essentially participate,” he reported.
