DAVISON, MI — The Michigan Department of Transportation will host a public open house next week to discuss intersection improvements on M-15, otherwise known as North State Road, through the heart of Davison.

The open house will take place from 3-6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, at Davison City Hall, located at 200 E. Flint St.

The department is investing $2.9 million to widen M-15 and Clark Street to accommodate a center left-turn lane.

Nearly a half-mile of M-15 from Lexington Street to South Street will be resurfaced in the project. Storm sewer, watermain and traffic signal upgrades will also be included in the project.

Work is expected to begin on April 18 with single-lane closures in both directions, according to a news release from MDOT.

Southbound M-15 is also expected to be detoured by June 20, according to the release.

MDOT staff and contractors, local businesses and community stakeholders will all be at the open house to discuss intersection improvements.
