HOLLAND — Neighborhood learners at the Careerline Tech Heart have been awarded extra than $385,000 in article-secondary scholarships.
The CTC, operated by the Ottawa Spot ISD, recently held a scholarship awards ceremony to acknowledge 42 college students for their scholarship earnings. In addition, 18 learners are remaining sponsored by regional organizations to keep on their education and learning with an apprenticeship.
“The chances at Tech Middle are boundless,” CTC Director Dave Searles said. “From scholarship monies to assist with instruction immediately after significant university to apprenticeship alternatives that merge education with on-the-task training, our college students are supplied a number of prospects to support them ascertain their next methods.
“With so several avenues for a pupil to take, we are excited to support households navigate this territory with their scholar and enable established them up for success.”
Incorporated in the scholarships was a $70,000 award to Holland General public Schools college student Flor Quiñones Sanchez. Quiñones Sanchez been given the Kendall Portfolio Scholarship and will attend Kendall Higher education for Art and Style. She researched printing and imaging tech at CTC.
Randal Fletcher, a student at West Ottawa, been given additional than $50,000 in scholarships. Fletcher acquired the AIS Phase Scholarship for $48,000 and the Haworth Experienced Trades Scholarship for $2,000. He took portion in the diesel/large machines mechanics application at CTC.
Caleb Prince, a area homeschooled university student in the diesel/significant equipment mechanics program, attained a $40,000 Michigan CAT Scholarship.

Scholarship sources consist of endowed scholarship resources and partnerships with nearby companies and faculties. Scholarships awarded array from $300 to $70,000.
Apprenticeships offer learners with on-the-career training with trade experts. Holland Christian’s Jacob Haan, who studied car overall body maintenance at CTC, claimed an apprenticeship at Van Eck Vehicle Physique aided him see a future occupation path.
